Dear Guests, welcoming you to B&B C'era una Volta means opening the doors of a historic residence, carefully renovated to combine early 20th-century charm with modern eco-friendly technology. To ensure a peaceful, safe, and premium hospitality experience for everyone, please review our detailed property guidelines.
Your Independent Arrival: Check-in, Timings & Communication Unlike a traditional large hotel, our family-run bed and breakfast does not operate a 24-hour physical reception desk. Therefore, we kindly ask you to coordinate your estimated arrival time with us when booking, and to notify us immediately of any delays during your journey due to traffic, flight changes, or unexpected events.

Self Check-in & Key Lockboxes: To grant you absolute freedom and avoid waiting times, we are equipped with secure, code-operated key lockboxes (Keybox) outside the property. This allows you to check in independently and access your room at any time, including late-night arrivals.

Legal ID Registration: Upon arrival or prior to accessing the property, every guest must present a valid Government-issued photo ID or passport. In compliance with Italian Public Security laws, these details must be registered with the local authorities. We are legally unable to host guests who do not provide proper identification.
The Perfect Morning: Breakfast in our Shared Kitchen and Garden Mornings at B&B C'era una Volta are a true highlight. Breakfast is freshly available every morning from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM.

Our Dining Areas: Guests can usually gather in our cozy shared kitchen and breakfast room, the ideal spot to share travel tips. During the summer and warmer months, you are welcome to sit outdoors in our private garden, enjoying your meal in the shade of our cool porch.

The Menu & Local Delicacies: We offer a rich continental breakfast featuring daily homemade cakes, pastries, and local honey. To comply with health and safety regulations regarding food handling, we partner with the finest local artisan butcher shops: you can request an extra selection of authentic Umbrian cold cuts and local cheeses, delivered in vacuum-sealed packages.

Total Comfort: If you prefer to sleep in or enjoy your privacy, each room features a coffee machine, a table, and a water kettle, allowing you to have breakfast in the comfort of your own room whenever you choose.
Pet-Friendly Hospitality (Our Pet Policy) We love animals, but to protect the comfort and peace of all guests staying at our property, we apply the following rules:

Small pets are welcome free of charge.

Medium-sized pets are accepted only by prior agreement when booking. To cover deep sanitization costs, a small supplement applies: €3 per night for long stays (over three nights) or €5 per night for shorter stays.
Housekeeping, Hygiene & Luggage Management

Sanitization and Linens: To ensure the highest hygiene standards, we use fresh duvet covers for every guest. Rooms are cleaned and towels are changed every two days, while bed linen is changed mid-week. Daily linen changes are available upon request for a small fee (€5 for sheets, €3 for towels).

Check-out Policy: Check-out is strictly by 10:00 AM, unless otherwise agreed in writing, to give our staff enough time to deep-clean the room for incoming guests. Unapproved late check-outs will incur a fee equal to half a night's stay.

Free Luggage Storage: If your flight or train leaves later in the afternoon, you can leave your bags with us for free and enjoy your final hours in Umbria baggage-free.
Eco-Friendly Care & Property Damage Our property is fully committed to sustainability, featuring energy-saving LED lighting, double-glazed thermal windows, and a low-consumption heat pump for eco-friendly heating and cooling (air conditioning).

Strictly Non-Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all bedrooms and common areas (kitchen, hallways, bathrooms). We do not have smoking rooms available.

Damages and Lost Keys: Please treat our home with care. Any damage to the structure, furniture, or items, as well as lost room keys, will result in a penalty fee charged directly to your stay account, calculated based on the replacement or repair costs.
